A Walk-In Wardrobe Designed for Everyday Luxury

Thoughtful storage, bold details and a little personality.

A beautifully designed walk-in wardrobe should make everyday routines feel effortless. When our clients approached us for their master wardrobe renovation, they wanted a space that balanced practical storage with a refined, personal aesthetic. With a renovation in mind, they needed a clear design vision and detailed plans their joinery maker could bring to life.

A Place for Everything

The brief called for dedicated his and hers wardrobe sections, with tailored storage for clothing, handbags, shoes, boots and accessories. A full-length mirror and dressing area would complete the space.

We began with a hand-drawn perspective, exploring the layout and how each element would work together. From there, we developed a 3D hand drawn model and detailed 2D cabinetry elevations, giving our clients a clear visual direction and their joinery maker a practical reference for execution.

A Little Drama, Beautifully Balanced

Our favourite design detail? A rich navy floral wallpaper extending across the walls and ceiling.

Paired with soft neutral cabinetry, warm metallic accents and understated furnishings, the bold botanical print brings depth and character without overwhelming the space. It's proof that quiet luxury doesn't have to mean playing it safe. Sometimes, one unexpected detail is all it takes.

Design Tips Worth Considering

  • Plan around your wardrobe. Long hanging, folded clothing, handbags and boots all require different storage dimensions.

  • Think beyond cabinetry. Lighting, mirrors, finishes and circulation are just as important as the storage itself.

  • Design before you build. A considered layout and detailed elevations can help minimise costly changes during installation.

Why Work With an Interior Designer?

A joinery maker brings valuable expertise in cabinetry construction, while a builder focuses on bringing the project to life. An interior designer considers the bigger picture — how the space functions, feels and connects with your personal style.

At Willow & Stone Interior Design Studio, our interior design services bridge that gap, bringing together creative direction, thoughtful space planning and practical design documentation. The result? A wardrobe that feels considered in every detail, with a design you can confidently take to your chosen contractor.
